.That Dirtbag in Tinfoil.

**Sometimes your knight in shining armor turns out to be nothing
but a dirtbag wrapped in tinfoil.**
Every little girl has a dream of meeting her “Prince Charming”, of being the “Damsel in Distress”, and having their “Happy Ever After.” But not one little girl thinks about what might happen if they are not that Prince Charming’s Snow White, Cinderella, or Sleeping Beauty. The world has taught us to become what they want us to be. Skinny, perfect and plastic, and maybe then, we will find true love. As time has passed by, I have learned that even though outlets like religion teach us about inner beauty, they get sorely outweighed by the voices of society that whispers that perfection is everything. You may have the personality of an angel, but unless you look like a God you many have no chance.
I would love to say that I have more faith in men, that they might look upon the inner soul, rather than the one they can touch. But, if I were to say that, it would be nothing but a figure of my imagination. I hope that someday we might see the beauty that is within all of us, and connect two beings that are meant to be together, no matter what they look like. I hope that the “big girl” might finally get a chance. Not because I pity her, but because I know what it’s like to be her. Or the guy with a face full of acne, just wait for a girl who is willing to look past the scars, and see the smooth skin underneath. To have a light hidden within you...waiting for someone to find it.
I hope that we find the truth in inner beauty, that we all have it, if we only see it. Maybe it’s a far fetched dream, but God knows we are all worth it. So I won’t give up on love, even if it takes that one sure person to find it.

  1. Hey, I REALLY like your blog! I also like the quote you said "You may have the personality of an angel, but unless you look like a God you may have no chance." I totally agree with everything you said in this post. It actually made me really mad and kinda depressed when all the girls in High School only liked the guys with a six pack, and on the football team... I wish they didn't focus on that, and focus on the guy himself.. his inner beauty. I'm following your blog now, HAHA.. :)
